Jak Melvin


Jak Melvin is a young composer, producer and musician.

Having successfully graduated from Anglia Ruskin University in 2012, where he studied Creative Music Technology, Jak quickly began building his reputation in the advertising world by composing music tracks for various TV commercials. The international brands that Jak has worked for include IKEA and Expedia Holidays.

Jak has experience composing music for longer form film projects too; he was commissioned to produce the music for D&AD’s mini-documentary celebrating the 50th anniversary of their prestigious Black Pencil awards – the design and advertising world’s equivalent of the Oscars.

Jak has produced for Indie rock band The Branco Heist, as well as his own group Maddox. Jak is the lead singer and creative force behind Maddox who last year performed on the main stage at the Standon Calling music festival alongside the likes of Bastille, Band of Skulls and De La Soul.
